The renewed interest in agriculture does not mean looking back at the past, but rather integrating the tools that technology made available with the millenary knowledge about resilient food systems
Italy is uniquely positioned to take the lead as the beacon of European agri-food renewal, safeguarding all the valued knowledge created and disseminated thanks to Expo 2015.
The increase in the number of farms, and a renewed focus at our agricultural heritage, are culminating into an exceptional opportunity to create value in the Italian territory.
The extraordinary agrobiodiversity of Italy is a legacy that has been passed down through the ancient knowledge within the agricultural tradition. With new technologies expanding possibilities for development every day – there is a a great opportunity to cultivate knowledge per hectare.
We strongly believe in a future shaped by o the digital-savvy youth and new agri-food entrepreneurs who are able to explore the wealth of ancient knowledge and the opportunities that technology can offer to the evolving future of agriculture. This is the key to the future we desire.

Opening della Mostra realizzata dagli studenti/ricercatori/attivisti provenienti da tutti gli angoli del globo che hanno partecipato al progetto Future Food Lexicon Lab promosso da Future Food institute e The Lexicon Of Sustainability fondata da regista americano Douglas Gayeton. Storie di eccellenza sull’agricoltura sostenibile, sulla produzione locale e sulla valorizzazione dei territori rurali, raccontate utilizzando un’innovativa tecnica comunicativa in cui fotografia e lessico si fondono uno strumento per riportare alla luce il valore nascosto di paesaggi rurali, eccellenze gastronomiche locali e dando voce ai protagonisti che li rendono possibili.

HACKATHON AGROGENERATION
A method that we “borrowed” from Silicon Valley, integrated into our educational programs and perfected as we implemented this format in different contexts to address issues like zero hunger, malnutrition, food waste, among others. The aspect of co-working/co-creation, together with the playful aspect of it brings tremendous benefit for participants from various background as they “cross pollinate” and give rise to an exciting prototype for a new product or service. Hackathons are our preferred way to conclude our training programs and test the aptitude of trainees in a most practical way.

Innovazione in campo
On the occasion of the G7, Edagricole Nova Agricoltura organizes: “FARM INNOVATION LAB” – on field innovation, which will be held on October 12, 2017 at 9.30 am at the CREA Experimental Center in Treviglio (Bergamo).
During the event, agricultural entrepreneurs, technicians, students and contractors will participate in a focused visit on field about the following topics:
• Methane fueled tractor;
• Self driving tractor;
• Shredder for harvesting sorghum from biomass with production mapping system
• Soil mapping machine;
• VRT – variable rate technology on spreaders;
• Sprayers with section control;
• Seeders with automatic control of sowing elements;
• Electric seeder;
• Tires traction tests at different pressure levels;
• Spraying bars stability test;
• Calibration of approved OCSE suspension (proof at the vibrating desk).
